Dr. Susan Cohn & Dr. Samuel Volchenboum
Dr. Susan Cohn has dedicated her career to caring for children with neuroblastoma and improving their outcome through clinical and laboratory research and treatment of neuroblastoma patients in the hope of finding a cure. NCCS has supported Dr. Cohn's neuroblastoma lab research and clinical trials at Children's Memorial Hospital at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, and more recently at the Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Cohn has teamed up with Dr. Samuel Volchenboum, Department of Pediatrics and the Computation Institute, the University of Chicago, to continue their quest to find a cure.
Dr. Cohn has served as Chairman of the Chair of the Children's Oncology Group Neuroblastoma Disease Committee, a group of the leading pediatric doctors and hospitals in the country. Dr. Cohn and Dr Andrew Pearson from the United Kingdom are also leading collaborators of a worldwide neuroblastoma database collection of samples, data, and collaborating lab results to assist and accelerate research efforts on a worldwide basis.
